  7. The ECX is a 14" color X terminal providing high-resolution graphics and
  8. strong performance at a remarkably low cost.  Allowing users to take full
  9. advantage of color applications, this unit is a cost-effective alternative to
  10. PCs, ASCII terminals, and 3270 terminals and is well-suited to transaction
  11. processing and office automation.  The ECX14 features a Motorola 68020
  12. processor, two custom ASICS, 1024x768 resolution and optimized X server
  13. software (NCDware), which are carefully integrated to achieve peak X Window
  14. System performance.  Memory is easily expanded from the standard 4 MB up to 36
  15. MB using industry-standard SIMMs.  This model also includes a
  16. Centronics-compatible parallel printer port, compatibility with any VGA/SVGA
  17. VESA-conformant multisync monitor, externally assessable PCMICA (Type III)
  18. socket.
